Took the kiddo camping up in the Adirondacks for the July 4th weekend. Hiked about 10 miles on the 3rd, we were following a 6 mile trail to a waterfall but got kinda lost. Rained on the 4th, so we ended up staying inside the tent playing cards all day. We were planning on doing more hiking on the 5th, but the kid got really sick so ended up spending half the day at the ER. They suspected food poisoning, but I'm not sure what from since I ate the same thing she did prior and I wasn't sick. After leaving the hospital, we returned to tear down our campsite - of course no more than 5 min after we pulled up it started down pouring again so everything got soaking wet. Yeah, so that was our ever so eventful holiday weekend. No fireworks or cycling this year, but it was a very car light weekend.
