Kuwahara Sport road 12....Help?

Please help me identify this wonderful bike.

5.5/10 condition mostly bad paint otherwise just needs some loving.

Suntour Group with Compe brakes and Win Pista bars and stem.
XL Frame(26") Only markings are Kuwahara and sport with Kuwahara Badge.
Serial Number: 8506-51673
Looking to rebuild it right.
