I've been using KMC Missing Links for several years on 4 road bikes and 2 mtn bikes. I ain't got no complaints. I use them so I can remove the chain and slosh it clean in a bottle of mineral spirits. Dry, re-lube and back on the road. Works great.

There are several widths of Missing Links: something like 6.9mm, 7.1, 7.3, etc. I've found it's a PIA shopping for them as some places state the width and others don't. KMC 's website is helpful.

I'm not convinced that if a vendor says "7 speed" that the width is correct. Be careful. BTW I had to put a 7.3 on a 9 spd chain and it got me back to the car but did not track thru the RD properly. I've been buying the 6packs from Amazon. Decent price.
