"OCT" has nothing to do with chainring compatibility. OCT (Open Core Technology) is the crankarm design. In your case the important number is 110 bolt circle diameter (BCD). Rival cranks will accept many different rings of the same BCD. Personally I replace the rings with Shimanos on all SRAM cranks. I feel Shimano has improved shift feel.
