Schwinn World Sport questions and year ID

My bike just got stolen so I'm in the market for a new one. I'm looking at this world sport:

In reading through other questions it looks like they late 80s WSs are better than the early 80s-- does anyone have a guess as to what year this one is?

Most of my riding is pretty casual-- I bike about a mile to work sometimes and other short neighborhood riding, and I bike 15-20 miles on the bike path occasionally. My stolen bike was a late 70s Schwinn suburban, which I loved but in reality was a little heavier/clunkier/slower than I would have liked and a huge pain whenever I had to carry it up and down any stairs (which is why it ended up locked in the backyard waiting to be stolen.)

Does this seem like a good fit for me? Is the price fair if it's in the described condition? Thanks!
