Circumnavigation of Michigan staying close to the shores of lakes Michigan and Huron. Lots of small towns to explore and Lots of campgrounds. Plus I can leave from my door and return doing a 900 mi loop.
A week-long trip like that is one of my touring goals for 2017. My wife and I spent a week in N. Michigan in September and we loved it. Looked like some great roads for cycling with a fair number of rails-to-trails to add variety.
