I like Fujis and have owned a number of them including a Royale that I converted to an internal gear hub. That came as just a frame so I never saw the bottom bracket in it. I have replaced the bottom bracket on my Fuji Supreme and used a symmetric cartridge bottom bracket and it works fine. I used Sheldon's pages to determine which BB to get:
