I also took up swimming at about the age 50. it took me a while to get the hang of it, so don't be discouraged, hang in there. what helped me was watching good swimmers and channeling them visually as I swam. it's one thing to be told what to do and how to do it, it's another thing to see someone doing it correctly. anyway that's the way I learn I guess. welcome to the forum, check out the triathlon section!
