I don't like the general idea of leaving the tips off. I want to use the stand with both arms and be able to see the minor variation. I can use the TS-2 easily. The shop I work at uses this one.

Looigi: You say it's more difficult to see the minor variation. That's the kind of insight I need. I want to find pics of the 2.2p without the plactics tips on the arms to compare with the TS-2.
