It was the rear wheel, or presumably the skewer, because the wheel rolls quietly with no skewer clamped in there.. Same exact problem as before, only the skewer was loose last time. I obviously bee-lined to that solution this time and it was TIGHT. I'll try a different skewer.
Unbelievable how loud a skewer problem is.
