I use a Manfrotto arm and Superclamp. I removed one section to make it lighter and sturdier. The weak link is the camera attachement. Eventually, I'll just put an Arca-Swiss plate screwed directly on the arm's end (it has threads), and when I get rich, a RRS small ballhead. The clamp is heavy but it works anywhere on the frame.
