I like the one with thinner wheels...those MTB Knobbies are great for dirt or mud, but I wouldn't want to ride them on the road.
Also, it depends on what you'll be doing mostly...if you're city riding and will be putting some mileage in (like any longer than 10 miles or so in my opinion), you may want drop bars to offer more hand positions, etc...
Either way, I think those mud tires on roads would get really old really quick -- not that you can't replace them...just my thoughts though.
