I wouldn't touch it. The customer doesn't seem to care that he painted parts that generally don't get painted. And if you accidentally scar his paint elsewhere it's your fault. Just try to bolt his wheel back in the same place it was at before so you don't have to risk having a dumb discussion about paint in silly places.
