I did a ride called 'The Fearsome Five', put on by the neighboring club.
Five climbs of 2500'+ for 128miles, 15,000' climbing.
It was cloudy & cool, with the cloud level below 2,000' so the upper sections were all wet and socked in.
The out and back route had us pass the start twice for resupply.
First time finishers earn an special beer mug, which will I proudly put on a shelf somewhere.
Got a pass 'til next weekend to do something with my mother, so good there.
Even managed to avoid post-ride cramping with extra salt, & some stretching.
