Also, keep in mind the type of bike. TT athletes often sit farther forward and sometimes adopt funny pedaling mechanics like extreme toe down positions for various reasons. In some circles it is fashionable to have the saddle as far back as it will go, as if sitting on the rivet makes you a hardman. I prefer to sit on my saddle as intended, sit bones on the widest part.
