Racing Wheelset
I'm looking to upgrade my wheels. Currently running a Dt Swiss 2.0 wheelset that is marginally better than my stock wheels. I get industry deals on most wheels but I still can't afford that $1000+ wheelset. I was going to get a set of mavic wheels, but they currently will not offer an ep on them for some reason. Zipp 30's are reasonably priced but I was wondering if there was a better option. I can built a solid DT Swiss setup for the same price as the Zipps. I thought about lacing up some Chinese carbon rims to a nice hub, but the rims seem hit or miss on quality. I'm trying to keep the wheelset under $600. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. My frame is a Raleigh Militis 2 and there might be an issue with rim widths above 21mm and running a 25c tire. Thanks.
