Any "road bike" systems that have a recessed cleat like spds that I should look at? I'm fine going with spds, as that will mean compatibility with my mtb, but just thought I'd ask to see if there was something else I should look at.
Why mess with success? I've used road pedals in the distant past and eventually found no advantage to them and several disadvantages. You can get mountain bike shoes that are every bit as stiff as road shoes and you can walk in them. What's not to like?
