Here's another funny part of the story. The battery on Billy's Honda was dead so she had driven to the ride in Alan's Prius. After finishing the ride the two of us had all kinds of trouble figuring out how to open the back hatch and how to get the damn thing in gear so she that could drive home. I told her that I'm pretty good with things that have chains and sprockets. Electronics, not so much.
Heat, humidity and an unfamiliar car were still not enough to spoil the day.
