Well I talked them down to $1450 for this bike so I don't think they're looking to do me any favors at this point.
Apparently there only about 10 of this model left in the country because #1 this model is always sold out and #2 the 2017 model is due to be released so they stopped making the 2016 model. Good timing along with some negotiating worked in my favor.
If you don't ask, you don't get. This is my sister in law's motto. Seriously, will your store let you go out the door with a bike that has no pedals? Particularly if it costs them nothing and might lure you back to buy other merchandise? if you don't try, you won't know
