IMO- the front Huret or Sachs/Huret is a very nice derailleur.

Again, IMO- the rear Huret or Sachs/Huret Duopar derailleur is not. At the time, they were expensive and desirable derailleurs that would handle a huge rear cog and terrific amount of chain wrap. IME- they're very fragile, but they shift really nice when they're working.

I, personally, would get a GT caged Suntour derailleur (a Cyclone GT would be great on that bike), or one of the later XC Comp or XC Pro derailleurs. Of course, any of the 80s Shimano Deore derailleurs would be very good as well.
