...pretty sure that was sold as a frame, and it might be a custom order. It is titanium tubing, a relatively sophisticated use of the material, and sold new for around 2,000 bucks (as a bare frame). I really don't know much about those components it was built up with, or the value of them in this situation, but I doubt her brother is gonna be happy with 300 bucks.

I know you can find some of the lesser Ti framed bikes like Lightspeed on the local CL here in NorCal for about 8-900 dollars.

Good luck in your endeavor. Serotta is out of business now (at least the Serotta that could produce that frame). Not sure if that makes it more valuable or less valuable.
