I agree. But no rigid frame mtbs with "top end components" are coming with an XT or XTR group, or high quality wheelsets, at Walmart bike prices.
Actually, if you look diligently, Trek 850, 930, 950 mtbs or a Paramount PDG for under $100 are not too hard to find.
