I have a TravelTrac Fluid Comp, which is on Zwift's "approved" list. I'd estimate their preset for this trainer was giving me 100+ watts more than I should have been putting out for a given effort.

I can't recall which preset I'm using instead, I think it's one of the Elite trainers. I've seen other posts indicating that the Nashbar Fluid preset is a good substitute for my trainer, but now that I've found one I've been using consistently, there's no point in changing. Getting your absolute numbers in the right ballpark is important so you can ride around with everyone else and not be a "flyer" stealing all the KOMs or a 10mph turtle, but from there the important thing is making sure your relative numbers from one session to another are consistent even if they're not 100% accurate in the real world, so that you can track your progress and do structured work.
