Adding a bottle cage to large elliptical down tube
I need to add a third bottle cage to my bike. The only space I have available now is on the underside of the down tube. My down tube is aluminum and elliptical shaped. Old school method of inner tube strip to protect finish and a pair of hose clamps would be ok by me, but I'm not sure whether the hose clamps would conform to the shape of the tube or not.
I've considered some of the other solutions that one can buy but most of those use Velcro, and I am really not a fan of Velcro.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
