I got lucky and scored a used lugged steel frame with true track geometry for $150.00 and I put about $400 in wheels, cranks, bars, stem, post and saddle. I get lusty for a new frame but mine works fine on the road, on the track and even speedway racing. Im sure eventually I will go for something I really want but in the mean time enjoying what I have. Oh, advice....get fixed and have fun. Definately steel, lugged and get a proper fit, decent set of wheels (open pros for me) etc. You can't go wrong. Esp in todays used track bike market...jt
