Hello
I dont agree this is femoral nerve compression.
Over the years I have found considerable improvement by working on my hamstring muscles. Most often I use the pelvic bridge (shoulders and feet flat on the floor, pelvis lifted into the air and hold. Best to use a Swiss ball for your feet) exercise and now I find I am seldom troubled with the pain.
I therefore think it is due to an imbalance between quads and hamstrings.
Good luck all
