It's got 4GB of RAM in it and an SSD now, so it isn't a total slug. But you can only do so much with dual 1GHz cores. Over time, I have run Arch, Debian, Mint Debian Edition (probably one of my all-time favorites), openSUSE, Ubuntu MATE, and Xubuntu on it. Currently, I have Xubuntu with jwm as the desktop. It is my travel, take-on-the-bike, and gee-that-lenovo-is-too-big-for-my-lap machine. My coworkers get a kick out of me rolling to meetings with it.
"Free" was almost a good deal then.

I attempted to use this on XBMC as a media player for a small TV. On paper it could have worked, but the constant stuttering during action sealed it's fate. I went back to Ubuntu and sold it on CL for a few bucks.

Funny enough, I have an even WORSE one on the way. One of the little Eee PC jobies with the Atom in it. Total POS, but no one should be looking to steal it for the use I have slated it for.
