Now that you mention it - my front cable port is on the other side as well.
I'd like to figure out a way to restore the integrity and avoid the rust issue. To someone that knows what they are doing (which is not me) it can't be that hard. Besides, on THIS bike, I think an exposed brake cable with guides just looks "correct".
I need to get it back together and get some miles on it to see if it's worth it.
