And for good reason. I once dreamed about building up a carbon lugged bike until my buddy's pristine Alan Carbonio "asploded" on a weeknight ride with no advanced warning. He's 165lbs soak and wet and the down tube literally fell out of the lug. Once that tube came loose, the rest of the frame completely distorted.
Craziest thing I've seen and it convinced me that the risk is real.
Weren't they recalled in the late '80's? I thought we sent two Guercotti carbon frames back, or were the Vituses? Viti?
