Thanks a lot for all of the help, I'm preparing for a little vacation as soon as this job is over in a couple of months, I'll probably go from south Dakota through Wyoming, Colorado and Northern California then back to SD.
Last year, my first long tour I budgeted $100/day Canadian. I expected this to be more than enough, and it was. I enjoyed myself. At the end of the month away, I had spent about $1800 including a week at my destination. This year, I am budgeting approximately $1500/month.
Hope you get out soon. Nothing beats personal experience.
