Rob, carve out a weekend. I know you're crazy busy with work and your gorgeous baby, but plan ahead. Since your schedule might be weird, maybe you could do a midweek thing. Ride 30 to 60 miles to a B&B, and then ride back the next day. I'm sure your wife and daughter will miss you, and you'll miss them, but at this point, you need to get away more than you might think. And you might fall in love with the bike. Before you go, but a better FD on it. It's not that hard. I've made double FDs work on triple chainrings.
