Don't expect much, and you are 'boned' if the bike is needing warranty covered work.
9 speed and even 8 and less are still common on lower cost bikes,
you are asking about a bike 1/3 of the cost of something you will see the latest 11 speed stuff on.
there are entry level bikes in bike shops in the US at about $400.. and service after the sale ,
fully assembled and tuned to ride.
(And in a size she can ride, and test before buying, I suspect you don't know much about bike fitting)
