Saturday - I headed out around 8 A.M. on the Schwinn Circuit to climb a local HC route that's not all that steep but goes on forever. It was pretty cool temperature wise in the mountains but the last 30 miles back down in the valley were aweful. Mostly over 100 f and I even had to stop around mile 90 for a few minutes to cool down, put a wet cloth under my helmet, etc. First time I've ever had to take a 10 minute or so break during a century ride. Legs felt ok the whole time but I really had to dial it back when it got hot to keep from overheating.

100 miles today with over 5400 ft of climbing. Fun stuff!

Maybe I'd be cooler on a white bike, LOL!
