why stop there? if you have time, there's a nice ride south from reno
thru virginia city, then connect with hwy 50 and continue east to salt lake.
I am simply trying to find a good route to Reno, Found an article on the route I mentioned and it does not sound appealing. Lots of rally steep climbs, narrow roads with no shoulder and lots of traffic.
The I80 route is more friendly but does not see to offer all that much in the way of views, not like the other route which is gorgeous but dangerous.
