Agreed on the old bike thing, though I had an old Raleigh for exactly 2 weeks in Tempe, chained right outside my gated apt complex window, that disappeared. Maybe it's a worthless bike, but it's MY worthless bike and it felt crappy when my it went missing. I will get to harbor freight and pick up this lock though since the price is right, and let the chips fall where they may! The bike theft situation in the midwest 'burbs seems less worrisome than Phoenix. Thanks for the advice!
