I purchased a Dahon Speed P8 about 10 years ago and just recently the frame cracked at the weld near the fold. I then purchased a Vilano Urbana that I like a lot because its light and very simple, but I'm worried it might fail as well sometime because it was really cheap. I only ride on paved roads, but they are in pretty bad shape. I would eventually like to get a folding bike where the frame itself doesn't fold, like a swift or bike friday, for peace of mind.
