As a former commuter that had to drive that stretch between the 405/22 and the 405/73 thru HB and Westminster etc....I am glad they are finally doing something. That was the worst part of my commute from Lakewood to Laguna Hills. It was bumper to bumper thru that section / stop and go...at a crawl. Freeway got gradually wider closer it got to 73 and beyond...and the traffic moved faster. It was the reason I was riding my motorcycle to get to work 2 days a week. And that lasted about 5 months before I was hit.
