I think I hit the Ross Island Bridge a while ago. Whew, not my favorite bridge. I think there was a sidewalk on the north side, but I got stuck on the south west side with no way to get to that sidewalk. And didn't discover its unsuitability to bikes until I was pretty much at the point of no return. So, I just shot across, and survived.

I may have had a couple of honks, but not much one could do once one was committed. HWY 26, however, was FAST for cycling.

There is, however, the Tilikum Crossing which is MUCH NICER, and not too far out of the way.

I think you skipped a bridge. I seem to frequently get down to the Sellwood Bridge/Tacoma St. And that has been vastly improved since I was up there a couple decades ago. Plus, the improved access to the Springwater Corridor from that area.
