Obviously a lot of different commuter opinions. I'm not convinced that a MTB makes the hills easier.

I do have a Jamis Coda, and like the frame, so far. It is a Reynolds 520 butted chromoly steel, or at least mine is. Of course, I put drop bars on it

That bike is a little small, but it does still have a long steer tube.
