If you don't change gearing frequently, I could see some benefit to the dropouts. Wheel changes become just as quick as those with vertical dropouts, because that's essentially what you have. And then you could use a quick-release hub with no worries.
Any chance the "20mm" tire clearance spec means between the intended tire and the rest of the frame?
Agreed on that but they still don't look as good on a track frame.
I would hope 20mm is tire and frame but alas I see really stupid stuff these days with tire clearance because some people just having gotten all the facts yet about wider tires being all around better.
