If you wanted to ride this as-is, then it might be worth considering. Since you want to convert it back into a geared bike, things are going to start getting pricey fast. I strongly urge you to ignore this bike and look for something else. Your market can't be hurting that bad for geared mixte frames, can it? We can help you look.

A thought experiment: let's say they went from $190 to $100 all the way down to $40! Wow! Now add a pair of long-reach brakes. Brake levers. Add a rear derailleur and claw-hanger mount. Shifter. Brake and shifter cables and housing. Longer chain. And lastly a new rear wheel to replace the coaster brake hub one. Buying these things individually, even used ones at low bicycle co-op prices will really add up. Then someone has to assemble it all. Do you do it yourself? Could be a fun project if you have all the tools. Or do you pay a shop to do it? What is the total bill with bike, parts, and labor?

A way to do it a little cheaper than buying piece by piece is to find a donor bike with all the parts you want. It will probably be a ladies bike, since those are cheaper than men's models. But at some point you'll realize that you should have ridden the parts bike instead of messing with that stripped-down Peugeot.
