The longest ride I took on a fixie was 10 miles, over moderately hilly terrain. It was a good workout.

Many years ago, I commuted on a fixie in the winter. It kept me warm. It got mangled in my big collision. Yup, fixies are big here, though diminishingly so. I think they peaked a few years ago.
