Oops. I meant it's this Saturday, and I don't think I can make it. Oh well.

Yes, I really cheated death. I got hit head-on, and I don't remember the impact or the ambulance ride. I was on the way to work and woke up in the hospital, in a lot of pain. No bones broken, just bruises and a couple of cuts. I was very lucky. This was in about 1982. I was wearing a Bell Biker helmet, very heavy with a Lexan shell. The liner did get crushed, so it did its job.

I don't know if there is grandstand seating. Let's see if there is press or youtube coverage.
