Be very careful around the trolley tracks on Huntington and South Huntington, especially where they intersect - there have been grisly crashes due to the tracks. Cross the tracks at as close to a right angle as you can and be very careful when riding parallel to them.

The Emerald Necklace and path is very close and will take you to the Paul Dudley White path along the Charles or to the Arnold Arboretum, Franklin Park, and Forest Hills Cemetery.
The South West Corridor Park is to the east and is a very nice ride between Back Bay, alongside Northeastern Univ and Forest Hills.

For longer rides the Minuteman bikeway from Cambridge to Bedford, and beyond. Or the Neponset River trail, just recently completed. Also the Northern Strand Trail.

Check out the Metro Boston ride thread as well: Metro Boston: Good ride today?
