Good catch. When I saw the low mounted seat stays, I was thinking Tarmac. I have an old Allez which I love riding. When I saw the welds I knew it was aluminum, just blew it on the model. Haven't checked out the Specialized catalog in awhile. Not the first time I've been wrong.
Those welds evoke images of caterpillars sacrificing themselves to let someone have a bike. I like the paint, but the geometry and the welds... different story.
