Bottom bracket cups and spindle... dulls spots vs. pitting

So, looking for some vintage bike mechanic know how here. I have a bike that has the old variety cup and spindle bottom bracket. Everything came out just fine, but after cleaning off the caked on old grease (which was actually not bad, lubricating wise), the cups and spindle have some "dull" areas in the shiny pathways created by the contact of the ball bearings. In fact, the spindle has some very criss-crossy hairline imperfections lines, maybe. Are the dull spots, or the criss-crossies, enough of a concern to pitch the bottom bracket? This is off a mid seventies Takara, and the bottom bracket adjuster cup is marked KCL made in Japan.
