Day 3 of miserable heat and humidity here in the Chicago area. It was 78 degrees at 4:30am today, 77 degrees yesterday at the same time. Temperatures are in the mid 90's, dewpoints in the 70's and heat indexes above 100.
I rode with a friend yesterday. We started at 5:30am and finished just before 11:30am. The last two hours were "stick a fork in me, I'm done".
Today I am at work and the building's A/C is not keeping up. Everything feels sticky and it is 77 degrees in my lab where I have someone coming for a VO2max test in a couple of hours. Hope he is heat acclimated.
The only good news is that a front is coming through tonight which will lower the temperatures. But it is also bringing the possibility of heavy rains in some areas.
