I went with an SPF 50 long sleeved t-shirt instead of sleeves and a regular jersey. The SPF 50 part is great, and you can douse the sleeves with water to keep cool. It does keep you cooler when the humidity is lower, but that's pretty much a constant regardless. Since the sleeves are a little loose, I had my wife cut and sew thumb slots at the end of the sleeves to keep them down over my gloves.
