I am using an insert on one of my bikes, but the tube is only 8" long and only a few inches are above the frame. With a folder, you might have a foot or more above the frame and you don't want the bottom free to move.
Yes i sort of figured that one out. Thanks thats more accurate than i was thinking as per length. Oh not sure what you mean about the rest but i am getting a bike mechanic to come around in a few days to change the chain. I will find out this stuff at the same time
