I rode on the Hudson Greenway yesterday and saw so many concrete barriers.... at every possible intersection, and even at the entrance to the Battery Park City on the N. Esplanade there were two giant cube barriers. Not sure if those two cubes were only for July 4th when there were firework-watching crowds or they were always there. The ride felt a little like a circus animal training : Sometimes the one-way passage was completely blocked by a group of pedestrians so I had to pass on the wrong side.

It seems a stupid idea with good intention. There are still infinite other ways for terrorists to attack and kill. Must have been quite a task to haul all those heavy concrete barriers over and distribute along the Greenway.
